O Canada was written by Calixa Lavallée in 1880 and is now the national anthem of Canada. It wasn't until 1980, 100 years later, that it received its official status as the Canadian national anthem on Dominion Day (currently known as Canada Day). In this time it has undergone translations and several arrangements. It is a march-like composition that is twenty-eight bars long, and for SATB and piano. This fantastic piano arrangement of O Canada is a great way to learn how to play this patriotic song. Being among the most well-known anthems of all time, it sounds fantastic on piano and will be a favourite for any Canadian or lover of national anthems!
